Frequently Asked Questions
How will I receive my images? Digital purchases will be sent via email from this email account within a few days of your purchase. All images are high-resolution images, and the email you receive will include the direct download link for them. After receiving this link, if they are compressed and you would prefer the original files - generally between 5-10 MB - please send us an email at kirsten@klchildphotography.com so that we can send them over to you.
For prints, the majority of my schools elect for free batch shipping to the school. My printer will ship directly to the school, and the school will distribute the prints directly to families. Please note that some schools prefer drop-shipping services to the home. In this case or in the case of families who do not qualify for batch shipping - including orders placed after the deadline - UPS drop-shipping charges will apply.
What sizes of prints are available? Please note that all print sizes listed are in inches.
Can I crop the images? Yes. If purchasing print images, you must crop the print for the size you would like. You can do so when the prints are in your cart. Images are scaled to a 2:3 crop ratio, which equates to a 4x6 / 9x12 print. In particular, please take note of cropping for full-body vertical images; due to the constraints of the backdrop size, you may find that they do not crop well in the 8x10 (and perhaps 5x7) size. KLP is not responsible for dissatisfaction with cropping.
Are these the final (edited) images? Yes. All images have been edited and adjusted for colour, brightness, cropping, etc. If you have additional edits you would like done on your child's images - ie: removal of a bruise, etc - you must contact us at schools@klchildphotography.com before placing your order. Once images have been sent to the printer, no additional edits nor changes can be made.
Due to the custom nature of our product, no exchanges nor refunds are permitted.
Do you guarantee the quality of the prints? Yes. If you purchase prints through my printer, I guarantee their quality. I do not take responsibility for dissatisfaction with third-party print quality, should you purchase digitals that you have printed at other print labs. Local printers vary widely. While I guarantee the quality of my images, I cannot guarantee the quality of local printers that I have not approved.
Can I order additional digitals or prints after the deadline? Yes, I can reactivate your gallery within the same school year as our photo session. Due to printer shipping options, orders placed after the deadline may be delayed and are subject to shipping/handling fees.
Do you offer similar options for student not attending this school? Yes, I am pleased to announce my Child Portrait Minis held in my Ladner studio a handful of times per year. These sessions mirror the school sessions - 2-3-minute sessions, no session fee, a full preview gallery and your choice of prints / digitals / packages / gifts.
